📋 Format Details
Two world championships
Points are scored at every Grand Prix toward the World Drivers' Championship and the World Constructors' Championship. The top ten finishers score, with the winner taking 25 points and an extra point available for the fastest lap in some seasons.
2026 technical revolution
New-for-2026 cars are smaller and lighter with active aerodynamics, while the power units split power roughly 50/50 between the internal combustion engine and electric motor, running on fully sustainable fuel.
Sprint weekends
Selected rounds feature a Saturday Sprint — a short-format race that awards additional points and adds a second qualifying session to the weekend.
