Australia are the most successful team in ICC Women's T20 World Cup history with six titles. West Indies are the only other nation to have won the tournament, claiming the 2016 title with a stunning final-over six at Eden Gardens to defeat Australia.
Australia won three consecutive titles (2010, 2012, 2014) before West Indies interrupted the streak in 2016. Australia then reclaimed the trophy in 2018, 2020 and 2023 — defeating India, India and South Africa in the respective finals.
