Employees at Ubisoft's Barcelona studio walked out for the first of six scheduled strike days after management proposed layoffs affecting 51 workers, roughly a quarter of the site's staff, as part of a restructuring that would narrow the studio to focus solely on the Rainbow Six franchise. The strikes, organized with Spanish union CGT, are set to run on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons through July 17. Workers are pushing for binding protections for the affected roles, a five-year no-layoff guarantee, and restored remote-work flexibility.
