iGaming Revenue Jumps 14.7% as Sports Betting Slips, AGA Tracker Shows

The American Gaming Association's May 2026 Commercial Gaming Revenue Tracker, published July 16, shows U.S. commercial gaming revenue up 4.6% for the month on the strength of brick-and-mortar casinos: traditional casino win rose 4.5% to $4.68 billion and iGaming jumped 14.7% year-over-year to $1.03 billion. Sports betting revenue slipped 1.8% to $1.34 billion as handle contracted, which the AGA links partly to unregulated prediction-market platforms pulling wagering activity outside state tax rolls. Regulated gaming still generated $1.53 billion in state tax revenue for the month, up slightly from a year earlier.
