The Ohio Casino Control Commission is moving forward with a rule that would bar sportsbooks and online casinos from accepting credit card deposits, aiming to curb problem gambling tied to borrowed money. Debit cards, ACH transfers and wire transfers would remain allowed, and the rule could take effect by late summer if it clears legislative review. Several major operators, including Caesars, DraftKings, FanDuel and BetMGM, have already voluntarily dropped credit card funding nationwide.
