Square Enix's award-winning RPG Final Fantasy VII Rebirth — the second chapter of the remake trilogy — went fully multiplatform on June 3, 2026, landing on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Nintendo Switch 2 after more than a year as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. The title had already earned over 125 perfect review scores and 40 Game of the Year awards, and the new ports reportedly include all post-launch updates and performance modes. With both parts of the remake trilogy now on all major modern platforms, Square Enix appears to be closing the exclusivity window ahead of the trilogy's still-unannounced third entry.
