Nintendo's June 9 Direct delivered the first official confirmation that a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is in development for Switch 2, ending years of fan speculation with a brief teaser. The roughly 50-minute showcase also brought a new Kingdom Hearts IV trailer set in a modern-day city, alongside word that the original Kingdom Hearts trilogy is being ported to Switch 2 with an October 8 release. Additional reveals covered new release windows for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and 3 and several third-party titles, making it one of the most packed Directs of the year.
