U.S. commercial gaming revenue set another monthly record in April, with iGaming climbing roughly 15% year-over-year to top $1 billion and sports betting revenue reaching $1.49 billion. The American Gaming Association credited much of the sports betting gain to a higher hold rate rather than a jump in wagering volume. State and local governments collected close to $1.6 billion in gaming taxes for the month, underscoring how central legal wagering has become to many state budgets.
