Valheim Finally Sets September 9 Release Date for 1.0 and Deep North Update

After more than five years in Early Access, Iron Gate has confirmed that Valheim's full 1.0 release will arrive on September 9, 2026, alongside the long-teased Deep North biome. The update brings a frozen new region complete with fresh enemies, gear, and exploration content to the Viking survival sandbox. The announcement, made during PC Gaming Show 2026, also confirms the game is heading to Nintendo Switch 2 alongside its existing PC and console platforms.
